Draft version. The operator's identification details (company ID, address) will be added before launch on stafeta.sk; the text is being reviewed by a lawyer.
1. Introductory provisions
These terms (the "terms") govern the use of the Štafeta, predaj firiem website (the "website").
- Operator: Daniel Cok, Slovak Republic (the "operator")
- Website: stafeta.sk
- User: anyone who visits the website or submits a form
- Contact: via the contact form
By using the website, you agree to these terms.
2. What the website is and is not
The website is an information portal for people who want to sell or buy a small business in Slovakia. On the website you will find:
- previews of businesses for sale without the business name and with figures in ranges,
- the Business Data Sheet (Technický preukaz firmy) and Daniel's score (Danielovo skóre),
- forms through which you can leave your contact details.
Nothing is bought or paid for on the website. Submitting a form does not create any contract or obligation to pay. Signing up as a founding member is free of charge.
The website is not an exchange, an auction or a real estate agency. The operator is not a party to the contract for the sale of a business. That contract is concluded directly between the seller and the buyer.
3. For sellers
- Mediation of the sale of a business begins only on the basis of a separate written mediation agreement (zmluva o sprostredkovaní). The agreement sets out the scope of the service, the price, the commission, the duration and the rules for publication.
- We publish the business review (video) only with your consent and after you have approved it.
- The public preview does not show the business name or features by which the business could be recognised. An interested buyer receives the identity of the business and exact figures only after signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), after identity verification and with your written consent.
- People who can be recognised in the video are filmed only with their written consent.
- You are responsible for the figures and information you provide about the business.
4. For buyers
- Information in public previews is preliminary and serves for initial orientation.
- You receive full data about a business, including its identity and exact figures, only after signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and identity verification.
- Buyers do not pay the operator a commission on the deal.
- Before buying, check the business yourself or with your own advisors (lawyer, tax advisor, accountant). Due diligence is your responsibility.
5. Figures and information about businesses
- Figures about businesses (revenue, profit, price and others) are provided by the sellers. The operator does not verify them unless this is expressly stated next to the figure.
- We state the source next to each figure: "stated by the owner" (uviedol majiteľ), or "document provided" (doklad predložený) together with the scope of the document. Even a document provided does not mean an audit.
- The price shown is the seller's asking price, not an achieved sale price.
- The "Visited in person" (Navštívené osobne) stamp only means that the operator was at the business in person. It is not an audit, an approval of the business or a verification of the figures.
6. Daniel's score
- Daniel's score is a subjective evaluation of the business in several categories. The score evaluates the business, not the price.
- The score is not a valuation of the business, an expert opinion (znalecký posudok), an audit or an investment recommendation.
- A seller's payment for the video never means a better score.
- If you need a formal valuation, we recommend an independent expert.
7. No guarantee
The operator does not promise or guarantee the sale of a business, a particular price, a sale date or finding a buyer. The outcome depends on the market, on the business and on the decisions of the seller and the buyer.
8. Conflict of interest
The operator currently does not buy businesses that he represents. Any future exception would be subject to independent recording of offers, the seller's written and informed consent, and rules published in advance.
9. What we do not mediate
- the sale of real estate (for a building we will recommend a real estate agency),
- the sale of shares in joint-stock companies (a.s.),
- tax, legal or investment advice.
10. Rules for using the website
The user undertakes to:
- provide true information in forms and only their own contact details,
- not use the forms for spam, advertising or fraudulent purposes,
- not interfere with the technical operation of the website,
- not use information about businesses for any purpose other than assessing a possible deal.
11. Intellectual property
Texts, videos, photos, graphics and the Business Data Sheet on the website are protected by copyright. You may not copy, distribute or use them for commercial purposes without the operator's written consent. Sharing a link to a page is permitted.
12. Liability
- We provide the website as is. We do not guarantee its uninterrupted availability or that it is free of errors.
- Information on the website is not legal, tax, financial or investment advice. You make the decision to sell or buy a business at your own responsibility.
- The operator is not liable for the accuracy of figures and information provided by sellers, nor for damage resulting from a decision made solely on the basis of information from the website.
- The operator is not liable for the content of third-party websites the website links to (for example YouTube).
- These limitations do not apply to the extent the law does not allow them to be excluded, in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Consumer rights under the law remain unaffected.
- Liability in the mediation of a sale is governed by the mediation agreement.
13. Personal data protection
We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. Details are in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
14. Final provisions
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Disputes are decided by the competent courts of the Slovak Republic.
- The operator may change these terms. The new version will be published on the website with the date of the change. A change does not apply to mediation agreements already concluded unless the parties agree otherwise.
- If any provision is invalid, the other provisions remain in force.
- If these terms and a mediation agreement differ, the agreement prevails.
- These terms are effective from October 20, 2026.
- In case of any discrepancy between the language versions, the Slovak version prevails.
